How would the Dems go about getting rid of her and getting a new leader? Can anybody throw their hat in the ring for Majority Leader and ask for a vote, or could she just stall, obstruct, and prevent a vote like she always does? Damn near any of them would be less grating and detestable than her and Dingy Harry. I want to shove pencils through my eardrums every time either one of them speak.

“I think she’s up for re-election this year. Remember in 2002 she said she would not take part in fillibustering judges or maybe it was a certain hispanic nominee. But as soon as she was re-elected she went back to being a fillibustering leftist. And who can forget her hideous behavior after Katrina.”

Plus, Mary Landrieu is pro-abortion.

Landrieu's up for re-election this Fall, and she's running scared because she cast the deciding vote on not extracting oil shale. Hers is seen as the most vulnerable Dem seat.

Kennedy attacks Landrieu on shale vote

WASHINGTON -- Republican Senate candidate John Kennedy is trying to punch holes in Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu's image as a lawmaker willing to buck her party in support of increased oil production.

The Kennedy campaign is citing Landrieu's deciding committee vote in May against a Republican proposal to end a moratorium on oil shale production -- extracting oil from fine-grained sedimentary rock through heat or a chemical process.

It sounds as though Mary isn't interested in “trying to save the planet.”

Busting out with side splitting guffawing - Thanks for the laugh!

This is Mary’s last year and she cast the tie breaking vote on Shale Oil. She is currently 8 points behind her GOP rival is running that ad every day.

Pelosi, Reid and Obama maybe safe in their seats for the time being but they may very well cost some Rats their seats.
I keep hearing about how the Rats are expected to pick up a lot of seats in both sides of Congress but I never have believed it.

Landreiu is simply posturing to get re-elected. She’s supported the Dem machine over and over when it was convenient for her to do so. Now it’s not. But if she is re-elected, she’ll revert to her Democratic roots and come to the aid of the Democratic machine.

I think, though not sure, that somebody would have to challenge her for Speaker after the Nov. elections, to evict her from being Speaker. Since she was Dem. majority leader at the time of the Nov ‘06 elections which gave us the Dem. majority, it was a forgone conclusion that she would be elected Speaker by her fellow Democrats. If enough Dems. are upset with her leadership, maybe somebody would decide to challenge her for the job?

Her whole family are cogs in the demo machine in Louisiana. You are correct, she is about to lose a reelection and her “base” is not what it used to be after Katrina so she is desperate to do, say anything to get reelected. Then it is back to the good party line demo.

Is she not also part of that phony gang of 10 proposal? Oh, sure, they'll drill as long as it comes with a windfall profits tax on eeeeeeeeevil Big Oil.

Should that happen, we all know prices would go nowhere but up and Nazi Nan and her cohorts could all say, "See! We knew it wouldn't work!!!"

Nor have I. It's one of those canards the drive-by media keeps repeating in hopes that it comes true.

makes sense...Lousiana needs all the help it can get, and drilling could be a real boon.

There are going to be many democrats with agendas that don’t jibe with Pelosi’s.
