Judge Revokes Bond, Suspends Travel DETROIT -- Judge Ronald Giles sent Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to Wayne County Jail for failing to notify the court of his trip to Canada and violating the terms of his bond.

Despite Kilpatrick's humble apologies to the court beforehand, Giles said he needed to treat Kilpatrick as an ordinary citizen and sent him immediately to jail.

Giles revoked Kilpatrick's bond and suspended all travel.

"What matters to me though is how the court overall is perceived and how if it was not Kwame Kilpatrick sitting in that seat, if it was John Six-Pack sitting in that seat, what would I do? And that answer is simple," he said.

Kilpatrick's attorneys said they immediately will appeal the ruling.

"The judge did what he thought was right. We don't agree," said defense lawyer James Thomas

Pelosi gave a speech supporting this bozo’s mother, Cheeks Kilpatrick, not too long ago. I think she’s running for Congress (?). More of Pelosi’s “San Francisco values,” apparently.

So was he remanded to custody or not?

I can’t find the answer to that question in the story.

"suspended all travel"

It's difficult to travel much when one is in one's own jail.

Maybe he’ll be able to watch the convention in jail.

That is the one sticking point for democrat delegates. If you get arrested beforehand, you can’t go to the convention. Trying to keep those noses clean can be a real b1tch for these folks.

More of Pelosi’s “San Francisco values,” apparently.

She was being interviewed on a TV station the other day by a journalist ( I can't remember his name right off) but she said how much her Catholic values influenced her throughout her life - how they came first, bla bla bla, with that perpetual grin on her face, wide-eyed. It made me sick. She dismisses millions of little souls and never allows them to see daylight and she spouts such lying garbage about her belief system. I don't want to judge her but her words and actions seem to do it.

Judging the words and actions of others is not the kind of judgement we are warned against. What we cannot “judge” is the eternal destination of another. For myself personally, I can’t even begin to imagine why any human being would even want to be able to do so.

It's difficult to travel much when one is in one's own jail.

He won't be in jail long, probably just overnight.

He's be released on bond, for the third time shortly, but he's getting kept on a shorter and shorter leash. He just seems determined to test the length of that leash over and over again.

His bond was revoked the first time after he allegedly assaulted an officer, and he had to post a $7500 bond to remain out of jail. That was only a couple of weeks ago.

Now the same judge has revoked his bail again, and is tossing him in jail for the night to try and get through to him that he needs to stop his antics.

However, I doubt he will learn from his mistakes and keep out of trouble between now and his trial, so I expect that while this may be his first trip to jail in this case, it will likely not be his last even before the trial begins.
