Are liberals more profane than conservatives? Online, the answer seems to be yes. Profanity, those taboo words banned from the broadcast airwaves, is a feature of many people's daily lives. It's much less so in the establishment media world. TV and radio broadcasts are legally prohibited from using it, most newspapers (including this one) have traditionally refrained from its usage.
That's not the case with the Web, where bloggers and readers face no such restrictions. That likely comes as no surprise; what may be surprising, however, is to what degree profanity seems to be a feature more common on one side of the political blogosphere than the other.

No ****....
Yeah, baby. Still #1!!!!
liberals are more secular and more emotional.
and have less personal, individual, self-control.
Not only is profanity a talking point for many on the left it’s also a fairly common technique to try and stifle argument.
and they are proud of it.
It’s simple.
They are not as educated and thus do not have a deep vocabulary to leverage when expressing their thoughts.
Or it’s just easier to curse when you are high on drugs.
and those are just the comments about Bush & Cheney.
Conservatives have the ability to intelligently discuss ideas and issues. Conservatives have the ability to discuss the nuances of issues without getting personal or offended.
Yes some conservatives resort to name calling and profanity, but just in general, conservatives are better behaved in discussing the issues of the day.
Too many liberals are too emotional about whatever the issue being discussed is. Too many liberals demonize those who disagree with them, which generates ill will and profanity. Too many liberals don’t have the ability to think critically about issues. Many liberals think that, whatever the issue, gov’t should do more. Gov’t should do more to fight homelessness, fight AIDS, fight global warming, provide education, health care, food stamps, job training, housing, or any other social ill.
The way that liberals tend to debate, they make it sound as if you are in favor of homelessness, in favor of AIDS, against educational opportunity, etc. if you oppose their solutions to societal problems. Anything said against affirmative action means you must be racist. If you are against same-sex marriage, you must be homophobic. If you oppose Al Gore or question Al Gore’s conclusions, then you must be against science and utterly uncaring about the future of civilization as we all die. They have knee jerk reactions to those who disagree with their core positions, which breeds hostility to those who disagree. Conservatives tend to want to persuade people to their point of view. Liberals tend to want to make you afraid of those who hold differing opinions.
You mean little temper tantrum brats living in their mom’s basements and hating the world cuss more than responsible adults?
The worst blogs, if you can call them that, are the comments sections on YouTube. They seems like a natural locus for the world’s hyperventilating mental defectives.
Oh heck yeah!
I'm not surprised.
Leftists are dumber than the right.
Well worth reading, particularly the comments.
