The Ten Year Lie

Great link! I had definitely missed that one. Not only good, no spin information, but a reminder that the issue we want to press home is not just energy, but energy INDEPENDENCE.

Thank you!

Tatt

I can’t help but wonder if we aren’t seeing the very beginnings of the next American Revolution - a revolution to wrest control of our country back from the grasp of those who only want to destroy it?

We can only hope ... but at this point, and I can speak only for myself, I can't really get my hopes that high. Anyone wanna disprove me -- please?

Well, for me, it's just curiosity, right now. However, we do have a lot of the ingredients in place - general dissatisfaction with lawmakers, out of control government budgets, high taxes, expected to get even higher, economy in the doldrums, "selectively deaf" politicians and two candidates for president, either of whom is capable of dividing and subdividing this country more than it already is. As close as November is getting, it is still a long way off.

I just think it’s important we all send our personal feelings on what affect this has had on us and the country. Please add your own feelings so they know more and more Americans are becoming active on their behalf. The email address is PainAtThePump@mail.house.gov.

Go for it!

Don’t know how you manage with severe back problems. I had a laminectomy 34 years ago and thankfully my back is usually pretty good. Lot’s of exercises to build it up. My husband has back problems which is why I’m doing much of the gardening—he does the mowing.

I really enjoy it tho. Almost feel as tho I’m cheating when I’m working outside! Always nice to make things look prettier. We have lots of clay too but my exercises have improved my strength so I can do more.

I just came inside to read some posts and take a break. I’m digging a hole for a rose. I have found the mother of all rocks! ........right in the middle of where there is to be a line of roses. I have no idea how I’m going to manage this. I have an arch at one end and a birdbath at the other on a platform. There WAS to be a line of roses down either side. I don’t know whether to cry or take a nap! : /

Guess you can’t move the arch or the birdbath.

Think I’d cry first, have a bowl of ice cream, then a nap.
One solution is to plant a tree rose in a pot, place it over that spot, then you could bring it inside in the cold weather. Or even just a regular rose. They are inexpensive at Walmart unless you’d want one of those fancy ones. I don’t think you’re the fancy type! :)

I was having trouble staying awake, couldn’t fall asleep, but some lemon iced tea seems to be waking me up.

WalMart is out of roses. I've been looking. lol

A lot of my roses are $5 or less from WalMart, Lowes and Home Depot. I wait until they have a sale because they've almost killed them, then I resurrect them. I have some very nice roses. :)

PS hubby ate the last of the ice cream!

He’s worse than mine! I try to never run out but every once in a while great while... Usually because I o.d.’d late at night.

His cholesterol is only in the 160’s and he takes no meds! He’s the only man I ever met who can put a package back in the cupboard with 1 or 2 cookies in it! Control beyond belief. I try to keep him in homemade oatmeal with choc. chips—keeps him happy as a clam! Then I don’t feel guilty spending time here! :)

Hubby has high cholesterol. It runs in the family. His Moms was in the 300’s. She lived to be 88. His uncle has high cholesterol and he just turned 100 in February. Had a B’Day party for the family at his Country Club. Snooty but fun. And Hubby has NO selfcontrol. Frostys at Wendys calls to him constantly.
