IIRC = If I Recall Correctly
Call me cynical but this sounds like a manufactured controversy to drum up interest in his movie.
Guess I'm just too dense. I read the words and I don't understand where ol' Max gets the "racially tinged" thing from. I'll have to assume it's Max and not me that is "racially tinged"!
BTW, no one has the right to not be offended, as this would destroy free speech. Oooops. that's what the liberals want to do!
Of course not.
So Toby Keith asked this loon to write this particular blog?
“it is a makebelieve song”
How many times have you had a liberal quite a line from a movie or from a TV show? They have difficulty distinguishing make-believe from reality.
The big corporation that owns the song and his movie calls the division that owns the Huffington post and they talk. Is that so inconceivable?
Perhaps the twit has confused "gangstER" with "gangstA", the latter the hallmark of a modern subculture which cannot spell and which also embraces lawless activity.
Perhaps the idea that that subculture is not limited to any particular race has escaped the writer, which is reflective of their personal prejudices, not any inherent the song.
Outlaws in the west were hanged regardless of race, creed, or color. It was an equal opportunity thing.
The liberals hate Toby Keith because he is a conservative and he is not bashful about it. He is a great supporter of our troops. They just don’t get it at all. Jerks.
I don’t know where the “racist tinge” accusation comes from— it would sure be a surprise to all the horse thieves, cattle rustlers and other assorted outlaws that were hung back in the day that the libs think they were all Black.
I did not know that about Kieth, he must have been converted at some point, I haven’t seen an interview with him for several years but he sounded very conservative last time I heard him.
I hope he comes to his senses about the issues, and I do thank him for his support of the troops.
Why isn’t Willy Nelson also catching hell?
—and as an aside to all this stuff, every few months the black “community” murders more of its members than were lynched in the entire period 1865 to present—
No doubt this whole subject’ll affect the rotation of the Earth./smirk
Then they spend the rest of their lives with aborted babies in their face when they go to church, cowardice in war situations, gun grabbers going after their hunting guns and home protection, taxes from their meager paychecks, homosexual marriage, and on, and on. These people aren't bad people, they feel the same as we do, they just don't understand how daddy could have fooled them into believing dead babies are good and homo's are good, and defending your country is bad, and owning firearms is worst of all.
Some come around to our way of thinking, but some have a hard time with it. There were many at my church and my work that could not handle being confronted with their ignorance. When you start to name names on who wants prayer out of school, who wants babies killed, who wants homo marriage, who wants your guns, they somehow twist and turn to make the evil Bush's the culprits. You sometimes have to bring the voting records of their hero's and plop in in front of them. Even then they may call yo a liar.
Isn’t the number one hit of the summer about a white vigilante who dons a face covering like a hood (hello KKK)and takes the law into his own hands.
By this idiot reasoning “Batman” is a racist vigilante movie.
Funny, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg and NWA get accolades for talking about murdering white cops...
But, please don’t offend anyone (unless they are white, that’s OK).
