According to international agreements, all AIDS patients are supposed to have access to the medicine they need by 2010. But even the biggest optimists at the International AIDS Conference in Mexico don't believe that this target will be achieved.
The thousands of scientists, activists and politicians who met to discuss AIDS-related issues at the conference over the past few days are also worried about the cost of supplying medicine. With a few million new infections each year, it is easy to see how the expense can spiral out of control...

Do you think HIV causes AIDS? AIDS is the biggest public health scam in medical history. Like global warming, AIDS is being used to push a powerful leftist political agenda. For over two decades the Public Health Establishment has used your tax dollars and the full power of the federal government to wage a massive propaganda (and intimidation) campaign designed to (A) dupe the American public into believing that HIV is the cause of AIDS (B) scare the public into thinking "we are all at risk" (C) coverup the extreme toxicity of AIDS chemotherapy drugs (which are not just used on "fast-track" gays and junkies, but also given to pregnant mothers, infants, and children) (D) use this fear to push a leftist social agenda that includes socialized medicine, and the promotion of homosexuality and explicit sex "education" to tender-aged school children (E) use their "public health mandate" to bypass the authority of parents and local school boards who object to their social engineering schemes (F) create a massive federal bureaucracy encouraging the use of addictive drugs, to include prescription heroine (G) use threats and intimidation to silence dissenting scientists and to keep the press from covering the debate (H) and finally, to use AIDS as a model to push similar social agendas with respect to future epidemics. We aren’t subsidizing infidelity, we are subsidizing AIDS chemotherapy drugs that will maim and/or kill anyone who goes on them, regardless of how healthy. But I have heard that if a patient exhibits even the barest symptom of AIDS, even if they don't have HIV or a host of other factors, they will find a diagnosis of AIDS.
I suspect it's all about $, and they're getting a lot of it.
Imagine if AIDS were to be completely eradicated. That money tree would dry up.
You’re on the right track! But you need to check into the science that absolutely backs up your intuitions. Again, read the selected (conservative!) articles on my profile page, and then you will understand why your intuitions are not only scientifically correct, but it will clue you in to the insidious political agenda they are trying to implement while the average “Joe” chases their tails re: the false notion that HIV causes AIDS. In that sense, AIDS is the biomedical equivalent of “human caused” global warming.
