What is actually astounding ( and I think revealing) is the fact that the Obama campaign has not hit back head on and concretely to put this issue to bed once and for all.

The lack of doing that is curious and to me, implies some inconvenient “truths” of some type may be lurking around this whole question— and the now increasingly likley birth certificate forgery.

The true believers are not going to be swayed by any facts to the contrary. There is no way to put this issue to bed because the believers are operating under a faith based system that rejects evidence which contradicts their beliefs and accepts assumptions and speculations as facts when it supports their belief.

This phenomena is interesting to observe and learn from because we may all be subject to this effect.

Why should they? It's not a serious issue, and spending any time addressing it would just give it credibility it doesn't deserve. I've got dozens on reasons for not voting for Obama. And this nonsense about his birth doesn't enter into it.
