Video: Why we need experience in the White House (Bobby Jindal defends McCain)

Bobby Jindal hits back at whining from the Barack Obama campaign over his response to Obama’s attack on Randy Scheuneman. On ABC’s This Week, Jindal was asked about a sharp retort from John McCain after Obama said that McCain was unduly influenced towards our ally because of Scheuneman’s prior work for the Republic of Georgia. Instead of taking that bait, Jindal pressed the experience advantage McCain has over Obama and why it mattered in this crisis:

ABC’s Jake Tapper: “When you heard me mention to Governor Richardson the Obama campaign attack against Senator McCain when it comes to the Russia/Georgia crisis, I want to now read you comments from the McCain campaign against Senator Obama: ‘The Obama campaign has offered nothing more than cheap and petty political attacks that are echoed only by the Kremlin. The reaction of the Obama campaign to this crisis, though at odds with our democratic allies and yet so bizarrely in sync with Moscow, doesn’t really raise questions about Senator Obama’s judgment; it answers them.’ I’ll put it to you. I didn’t really get an answer out of Governor Richardson, but I’ll put it to you. Is that really an appropriate response to a crisis this severe?”

Governor Jindal: “Well you know, Senator McCain first went to Georgia back in 1997. He, as soon as this crisis emerged in no uncertain terms, said that Russia should withdraw its forces, observe a cease-fire, suggested that there needed to be true international peacekeepers there. I think this is another example during these uncertain times, where we need experienced leadership. We need somebody like Senator McCain who will take a stronger view, a more experienced view, when it comes to international security and protecting America’s interest.

As I opined on another, similar, thread; put this hypothetical into your pipe and take a puff and then ponder the beyonder:

Just wait until this guy is the Commander-in-Chief and Iran, with a nuclear bomb at it's disposal, takes a group of American Christians hostage and demands unilateral withdrawal out of Iraq - so they can take it and the whole Middle East and declare it Muslim land under Sharia Law.

How will Obambi call it (the 3am call)?

"Uh, um, hang on there a sec, uh, I've got to meet with my 600 foreign policy uh, advisors, and uh, hey, yeah, uh, I'll get right back to ya, 'k bro? Uh, yeah - word out."

Bobby Jindal appears to have principles and handles the heat very well, I notice. A far, far better "New American" than Osama Hussein Obama.

I like what I’ve seen of Jindal.

He is the next generation. I hope he runs for national office in ‘12.

With the emergence of Jindal, Sarah Palin and Eric Cantor I have renewed hope for the reemergence of Reagan conservatism. It is necessary that conservatives turn from those that have squandered the Reagan legacy and return to a leadership that lead by time honored conservative principles. It is time to pick one of these three, and I prefer Palin to move forward.

Well we have a good farm team for ‘12 — which one in particular is not the issue. There is a lot to do, and two slots on the ticket. Radical Islam and a bunch of other threats (yeah, Russia) are not going away in the next 4 years, so I am glad we have some qualified conservatives in line.

You probably just like Palin more because she’s cute.

I can live with that.

She’s not hard on the eye. I do think she brings more to the ticket because she would appeal to Evangelicals, right to lifers, social conservatives, women, second amendment voters, those that would reform government etc. With 1-2% separating the parties in many states these are constituencies that could mean the difference for victory.

It’s great to see Jindal out there in front of the cameras. He’s our up and coming “rock star” ( I hate that term). He , along with people like Sarah Palin and others should be all over the news shows, getting their faces known to whole country. We need to prepare for 2012.

He was great today.

Sept 2006

” A missile was fired at a helicopter escorting Sen. John McCain during a visit to the Republic of Georgia last week.

A statement from that nation’s interior ministry says the surface-to-air missile was aimed at a chopper involved in a visit of a U.S. Senate delegation to the former Soviet republic.
McCain was mentioned as the leader of the group.”

I never heard about this.
However, Obama gets a hangnail and the MSM goes into a panic.
And if Barry had been on that chopper, every news story today would be reminding us of that incident.

While a part of me that the greatest minds of our generation are dead, Reagan, Friedman, and Buckley; it brings me hope to see that they are new Reagans like Jindahl on the horizon.

This is good - but I think we should focus more on Obama’s lack of judgment rather than lack of experience. Experience can be spun to a negative.

There continues to be a lot of focus on Obama’s muslim past, which he continues to lie about. Wonder if/when will 527’s start showcasing Obama’s muslim past? America doesn't seem ready for a former muslim president - especially after 9-11.
