ElBaradei says tougher sanctions on Iran ineffective

International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Mohamed ElBaradei has dismissed tougher sanctions against Iran as ineffective.

In an interview with the London-based Azzaman newspaper published on Saturday, ElBaradei said, “In my opinion new sanctions will not resolve Iran’s nuclear dispute.”

He went on to say that a military attack against Iran is the worst alternative to end the standoff between Iran and the West.

Britain, France, Germany and the United States are considering imposing additional sanctions on Iran for refusing to halt its nuclear enrichment work.

Can’t this ElBaradei clown do anything other than throw up his hands and shout, “It’s hopeless!” all the time? This clown is totally worthless.

The article, from the Tehran Times, leaves more questions than it answers.

1. UN official says sanctions against Iran will not work, and will not make the Iranians stop their nuclear activities

2. The military option is the worst alternative

OK. What other alternatives are there?

Doing nothing?

Waiting for an Israeli election and a “surprise” raid?

Didn't work for Iraq either.

Looks like Obama isn't ready for real world prime time, if you want to live that is. Chanting 'Kumbaya' very effective with bears.

So tell me once more why we aren't already drilling everywhere there might be oil in the good old USA? A few coal to liquids plants could help as well. So could afew nuclear power plants. Waiting ....

So nice isn't going to work, and not nice isn't going to work either.

I think what he is really saying is, and I'm paraphrasing here, "I've done all I can do. I don't have an answer".

When you can't solve something the nice way, when the men in suits can't help you and you can't live with not solving it, you bring in stout men with guns to re-design the facts on the ground. Once the facts on the ground have been re-arranged into something you can live with, and only then, you turn it back over to the men in suits. They have their place in the world, but there are times that require a different kind of man.

ElBaradei has been an enabler of the Iranian nuke program from day one. It wouldn't surprise me if this cretin in an Iranian agent.

Sanctions won’t work and military force is the worst alternative- hmm, something is missing here.
What does Mr Baradie recommend? Let’s get the UN position in writing this time.

In other words, HE needs to go home because HE’s ineffective.

No sanctions, no military action, just doing nothing Mohammed is that it?

Sheesh, then what’s he and the UN good for?

What a farce!

EB has been stringing the world along for years, always chastizing us to play nice and make concessions if we want to achieve results.

These are the results. And he still wants us to play nice.

When we attacked Iraq, Mohamed ElBaradei said it was the sadest day of his life. I suppose this was because his funding from Saddam would be cut-off. Also, no more oil-for-food money from the leadership at the UN. I believe the guy is a pernicious liar, and his new benefactor is Iran. I suggest someone follow the money!!!

“In other news:

“The UN nuclear counsel has reported that after careful consideration, Mohammad El-Baradei has been replaced by Baghdad Bob”

The UN press secetary announced: “We have found that Baghdad Bob is a very effective spokeman for the UN policy of truth and factual presentations in all of the potential worldwide hotspots administared by the UN forces.”

“Thus, we have provided El-Baradei a mop and a bucket to assist Ms. Madeline HalfBright in her janitorial pursuit of providing a cleaner toilet environment to worldwide politicians!”

Baghdad Bob responded “Pfffeww — Ahhh”
“Over here, need a wipe!”
