........................................These are all part of NATO, much different scenario, Georgia is not unfortunatley and Russia wants to make sure they never will be.
The payback to Putin for this adventure should be major new U.S. military bases in the FSU. Preferably on former Soviet bases themselves. This invasion of Georgus is straight out of the Soviet playbook and is only going to get worse if we do nothing but talk.
These bloody Russkies, they’ve been entering the high arctic over Canada as well. I think we’ve scrambled our F-18’s several times in the last couple of years to intercept their aircraft, which is probably why our PM is increasing our arctic defence budget.
