Russia has shown, as a matter of policy, that any number under a million dead soldiers, doesn’t even faxe them. They threw away 20 million just fighting with Germany in WWII.

If those numbers are correct then they definitely have to be using some "hand-me-down" anti-aircraft systems.
Russia decimated the Georgian air force while they were on the ground so there are no Georgian aircraft in the air.
Of course, this could be just a moral booster.

The Russians need to remember that you can use tanks to take a town, but you can't use them to hold a town. Once they have conquered Georgia, their problems will be just beginning.

Every picture the MSM shows has some burning Russian tank and I would imagine there was a few Russian Troops driving the tanks.

That’s what I’m thinking. Take any utterance by the leader of the invaded country with a shaker-full of salt.

Wait for the Putin-Poots here to tell us that it's just Georgian propaganda... as opposed to the famous Russian honesty and trustworthyness. LOL.
Seriously I hope the Georgians take down as many Russian invaders as possible. Let them pay in blood.

I think there is a difference for the average rank and file Ivan whether he has to defend his motherland (as in WW2) or to die in a foreign country for the power lust of the Cremlin.

...and shot down at least 18 Russian aircraft That would be around 20 minutes work for an F-22.

They threw away? What the hell! What would you have them do, surrender to Germany? You damned well better be glad they sapped Germany’s strength on the eastern front. I salute them for it.

I think having Gorby in the Kremlin contributed to their withdrawal from Afghanistan.
