Hillary Clinton's former chief political strategist said in a memo during the U.S. presidential primaries she should challenge Barack Obama's American roots.
Strategist Mark Penn was the New York senator's chief political adviser until April.
In a 2007 memo, Penn said of Obama: All of these articles about his boyhood in Indonesia and his life in Hawaii are geared toward showing his background is diverse, multicultural and putting that in a new light. Save it for 2050, CNN reported.
Penn wrote that Obama's past exposes a very strong weakness for him, noting that the Illinois senator's roots in America are limited.
I cannot imagine America electing a president during a time of war who is not at his center fundamentally American in his thinking and in his values, Penn wrote.
The contents of the memo were first reported by The Atlantic magazine.

Is he going Gray ?
I’m surprised “roots” isn’t considered racist. lol
Thats Hawt
None of this is surprising at all ... what with the drone Wolfson coming out and hinting that they should have dropped "the bomb" on John Edwards earlier in the primaries ... this is just a bunch of Hillary sycophants lamenting that the HillaryTM campaign miscalculated its window(s) of opportunity, figuring that they could drop these little bomblets later on in the primary season. They didn't expect much opposition from Obama, figured that he was just another also-ran, and that it was Edwards who would be set-up later on for a bomb dropping.
Now its too late and they were taken by surprise.
Oh well, such is life in Rat politics ......
