I am quite sure that this is how “Democrats act like Democrats” — what’s wrong, were you born yesterday?
I’m only surprised they don’t make you sign a blood oath and give up your first-born to the Obamessiah......
But it may backfire. The trust-baby anarchists have plenty of time to volunteer, since they never actually work. I'd really enjoy seeing a couple thousand of THEM show up.

Um I thought the a large portion of the democratic party were unemployed, in jail, on strike, having extra babies for the welfare money, or victims of some sort or corporate policy

Note to Heather: Republicans work for a living too. They also provide for their families, without government assistance.
This is a projective glimpse into the future of an Obama Presidency.
Want a government insured school loan? You have to agree to volunteer X amount of hours.
Want an FHA mortgage? Volunteer time required.
SBA loan? Get in line and volunteer.
Medicare, Gov. health care? Get in line and volunteer.
Applying for a Federal grant of any sort? Volunteer requirement.
Living on Welfare and Food Stamps? Do nothing, just Kick back and watch all the others volunteering.
That’s only the half of it.
You’d better believe that the ‘volunteer work’ they will force people to do will resemble the volunteer work B. Hussein Obama has done in the past - registering deadbeats to vote and making sure they show up at the polls, organizing deadbeats for street demonstrations in favor of the liberal cause of the day, forming backdrops for party events, etc.

Some protesters arrested at the Democratic National Convention could be jailed in a city- owned warehouse, complete with metal cages and barbed wire, CBS4 News has learned.
Investigative reporter Rick Sallinger discovered the location and managed to get inside Tuesday for a look. The newly created lockup, in a warehouse northeast of Denver, contains dozens of metal cages made of chain-link fence material, topped by rolls of barbed wire.
Each of these fenced-in areas is about 15 feet by 15 feet, with a lock on the door.
A sign on the wall reads “Warning, electric stun devices used in this facility.”
Sallinger showed video of the warehouse to Adam Jung of Tent State University and Zoe Williams of Code Pink, leaders of groups that plan to demonstrate during the convention. “This is very bare-bones and very reminiscent of a political prisoner camp or a concentration camp,” Williams said.
“That’s how you treat cattle,” Jung siad. “You showed the sign where it said stun gun in use. And you just change the word gun for bolt, and it’s a meat-processing plant.”
