When taught creation, the kids are also taught what evolution is, although they are shown the flaws.

When taught evolution, the kids are not exposed to creation science at all.

It seems to me the indoctrination is on the evolution side.

I went to a Catholic high school, graduated with a B.S. from a state university in electrical biomedical engineering, and never even knew that there was a debate between evolutionism and creationism.

I do know that I was sorely disappointed with with the evidence that we were presented with that was supposed to support the ToE, but I didn't know that there was any other theory. I figured they were just not giving us enough information to fill in the obvious immense gaps.

That is because creation "science" is religious apologetics, and has nothing to do with real science other than stealing the name in a vain attempt to acquire some of its legitimacy.

After reading much of what passes for “creation science”, I for one have concluded that the science part of that term is insanely lacking.

I do believe in God and he is the creator of all, however the “science” put forth as “creation science” that I have read wouldn’t pass any sort of peer review.

Evolution says things change over time, based on a host of variables. It does not say God doesn’t exist. In fact by first mover theory, all change is proof of God’s existence.

Certainly there are athiests who have latched onto evolution as an attempt to claim their is no God, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the actual theory of evolution at all. Just as there are those who completely deny it in defense of God. I find both of these groups fools myself.
