Continuing her push for a comprehensive energy plan that includes increased oil drilling, Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., reminded Americans that the Democrats message to save the planet doesnt add up. The world has been saved already, she says.
Responding to Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosis comment about creating an energy policy to help save the planet, Bachmann added religion to the energy crisis during her interview with OneNewsNow, a Web site run by Christian American Family News Network.
[Pelosi] is committed to her global warming fanaticism to the point where she has said that shes just trying to save the planet, Bachmann said. We all know that someone did that over 2,000 years ago, they saved the planet we didnt need Nancy Pelosi to do that.

I've heard Michele Bachmann as a guest on Laura Ingraham's radio show. She is awesome!

It was saved again in 1945 and again in the 90s...both times by America.

I like her. She is solid on most of the issues and is kinda cute. Performing a much needed smackdown on Pelosi doesn’t hurt either.

Let's see, conservative, Lutheran, good-looking. . . . What's not to like?

Lame.
Hardly a smackdown.
Let’s stick to the issues without bringing Jeeee-SUS! into this.

I supported one of her opponents in the primary two years ago, Phil Krinkie, a solid anti-tax conservative. Instead, we got the nutjob Bachmann, who goes off on these religious rants.

Lame. Hardly a smackdown.

It was very much a smack down. It was aimed at Pukosi's messianic screeching about "trying to save the planet" as if she had god like powers to do so. Pukosi brought religion into it first, the religion of the left. As for bringing Jesus into it, we are a Christian country, founded on Christian beliefs, there is nothing wrong with bringing Jesus into it. FWIW, I am not a Christian or particularly religious, but I see this as a well deserved take down of Pukosi and would rather Jesus be brought into it than allah.

Lets stick to the issues without bringing Jeeee-SUS! into this. On the contrary, let's do it if for no other reason than to send into paroxysms of paranoia the historical revisionists who are constantly trying to sanitize the public square of religion.

(Of course, it's anathema to the piteous whiners who've tried to toss our nation's religious history down the memory hole.)

Double plus UN-gag. Pelosi is the gagmeister while Bachmann is like a cold glass of lemonade on a hot day after mowing the lawn.

Lets stick to the issues without bringing Jeeee-SUS! into this. Pelosi brought it up. If the left continually broadcasts their religion, why can't Christians?

Not lame at all.
The Dems and the Environmentalists have made a religion out of environmentalism. Her comment was entirely appropriate because it helps to deflate this type of behavior and show how foolish it is.

No, apparently the point wasn't taken, we aren't wackos and what she stated didn't make us look like wackos.

Riiiiight.
Because pulling the Jesus Card out in this case was the most sound response to Pelosi.
