Hillsborough, N.C. Officials are investigating a bus pulled over for safety violations Wednesday afternoon at a weigh station near the merger of Interstate 40 and Interstate 85, the Highway Patrol said.
The bus, traveling from Wilson to Mexico, was stopped at mile marker 143 because a suspension problem was noticed with the bus.
Officials are checking the documentation of some people on the bus who did not produce passports. Interpreters were brought to the scene to help police communicate with passengers.
The bus was towed from the scene and passengers were placed on another bus.
The Highway Patrol had been made aware by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration that illegal immigrants were being taken to certain destinations in the country. The bus originally was believed to be apart of that group.
Federal authorities are investigating whether the bus was connected to Iguala BusMex and Angel Tours Inc., which were ordered by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to cease commercial operations after an accident in Texas.

Oooooh! “it was ordered to cease operations....”
Just like ILLEGALS are told not to enter the US , I presume.
“Badges..? We don’t need no stinkin’ badges!”
Ping.
Well, color me surprised. Mexican illegals? Here in central North Carolina? NEVER! (/sarcasm)

Something heavier than people?
Be nice to know what language the interpreter were interpreting.
One presumes Spanish, and that's what it probably was. But not all folks illegally crossing the border, in either direction, are Spanish speakers.. Arabic is popular, also various Chinese dialects. Also Persian, Pushtan, Indonesian, and other languges spoken in the Jihadie part of the world.
These buses run every few hours from several spots in Manhattan and NJ. It’s a really cheap way to have a third world vacation inside the United States. Friend did a $8 one way ticket from Manhattan to Washington DC last year.
People mention it’s better to use the Chinese owned companies for BoWash corridor trips, but the Mexican companies are cheaper in BoWash and travel all the way to Brownsville, TX.
The Mexican buses are probably subsidized if you know what I mean.

"Last year we arrested more than 58,000 illegal aliens coming across the border from Mexico, who were not citizens of Mexico! More than 800 of them were from Communist China and a few were from Iran and North Korea. The open border is well known to everyone in the world who wants to get in the U.S. illegally."
Grrrrrrrrr.
