No, Barack Sr abandoned the "family" much, much earlier than that, and it is not known for certain whether he was even present for the birth - Barack Jr was born [somewhere] in August of 1961, but Stanley Ann is known to have returned to the state of Washington, as a single mother, no later than the beginning of 1962:

I acknowledge the grand work that has been done on this subject, this by yourself and others. This would be on the references provided. I thought I was just trying to flesh out the rough details. This for the casual poster, who is not really into the whole situation. A bit of a minefield I guess (laughs).

I would venture that the grand mother of Barack Obama , the lady who brought him up, would have been informed by her daughter. It would be the most pressing thing in the world for the safe delivery and health of her daughter to be made known.

True this is conjecture on my part. After 19 months, not seeing this lady, suddenly in comes Barack.

Nothing wrong with being a bastard. Lots of good people have been. Not admitting it and making up some cock and bull story about it, that is not exactly the sort of behavior we want out of a President.

Although we did have Clinton, who did that same sort of thing... and is also a “stepchild” of questionable real parentage.

Was he? I wonder why he had for some time a Myspace page that said he was born in 1958. I think there was some other reference where he said that he was 51 years old. The MySpace page has been changed so that it now says he was born in 1961.
