I know it sounds crazy, but I’m 90% certain that that image was designed for 3D glasses. See how the stars rather than being a single white dot are each a pair of dots, one red and one blue? They do that to create a stereoscopic image when one eye sees red and the other blue.

Just think — you may have unknowingly made the leap into 3D .gif animation!

Can’t remember his name, but yesterday there was a thread about an artist who had just designed a number of new ‘portraits’ of Obama.

I went to the site, think they were a slideshow format or something and I did screen captures to get a couple of them.
Had to enlarge and do a lot of work on that one, then do the animation.

They were just ‘flat’ .jpg graphics, no 3-D or animation.

You were correct about the 3-D!!!

I didn’t recall seeing that when I first found the image and did have to use screen capture to save it!! Really strange but you are very observant!
