You're right. And I have mixed thoughts about it, for sure. On one hand, there's the whole "Wah, I found out my hero is mortal therefore I'm going throw him into the dustbin" mentality; OTOH, there's the "I know my hero is mortal therefore I'm going to cover, if not shore up his weakness".

But those with real issues, personal issues, usually manage to make themselves quite clear, thereby rendering their opinions on the subject at hand, less effective.
