Ethnic and racial minorities will account for a majority of the U.S. population in a little more than a generation, according to new projections from the Census Bureau.
The Bureau calculates that by 2042, Americans who identify themselves as Hispanic, black, Asian, American Indian, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander will outnumber non-Hispanic whites. Four years ago, officials had projected the shift would not occur until 2050.
The main reason for the accelerating change is significantly higher birthrates among immigrants, The New York Times reports.

Seriously, we could possibly be outnumbered in our life-time. The nanny state will always reproduce dependents. And no I am not saying that all minorities/immigrants are dependent upon the government. But with universal healthcare and more government programs on the horizon. It will attract more dependents.
It’s easy to have a ton of kids when you are but a poor immigrant and live off the government. This is not all of course, but a darn lot!
This does not worry me one bit. The second generation Asians and Hispanics I know are all good Americans with good values.
Libs keep having this dream that future generations will not have the common sense to see through their failed policies. People are not that stupid.

The only ones who don’t learn are the african american voters. They stick with democrats even when it’s not in their best interests to do so.
These statistics are being misread, to me. Is 9% a majority? Is 11% Maybe piled all together they are bigger than whites, but a zillion minorities do not equal one majority. Since when.....
I live in a large city and have watched the public school system go to hell, test scores and discipline decline therein, crime rates soar and medical care and emergency rooms become overtaxed as our taxes and insurance premiums increase, and I perceive illegal immigration as #3 issue behind national security and energy independence. I know and admire many hard working immigrants with high values, but they do not appear to be in the majority. When those with low values become the majority of the overall population we are done. The time to control the border is NOW and allow tightly regulated immigration.
Good and accurate analysis. If immigration is not tightly enforced soon, this nation may not be around in 2042.
The libs will be happy when the last evil white man is purged form the country.
Does that mean that as the new 'minority', the rest of us can then claim special privileges forever?

Of course not, numbers do not make a minority skin color does.
Since they all adopted 'you owe us', and the us against them mentality, and effectively vote as a bloc in all elections.
So from the view of political pragmatism, they already are a single group
