Most people in the West think Georgia started this, by invading Ossetia to unify the country. That isn't true. They responded to ongoing and attacks by Ossetians and Russian "peacekeepers".

To their own people, right? Weren’t the Ossetian militia attacking the Georgian populated villages in South Ossetia?
