I really doubt many Americans care about this. Too long ago and Communism just doesn’t seem threatening to most people. Don’t care much myself. There are much better reasons to oppose him.

Are you kidding?? Haven't you been watching the news lately? Russia invading Georgia, the ChiComs, Hugo Chavez, Cuba, North Korea, etc, etc. The still communist-led so-called "anti-war" movement (of course you wouldn't known about that from the MSM). Anyway, it isn't just Frank Marshall Davis who is or was a communist, it's Reverend Wright, Bernardine Dohrn, Bill Ayers, his many communist supporters, here and abroad, on and on. FYI, Wright's Black Liberation Theology is all about communism, and of the worse kind. It advocates the violent overthrow of the American government, actually all Western-style governments. Please visit my FR Home page for a quick lesson on who and what the ObamaRats truly are. Here's a direct link:

Vladimir Putin on "the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the [20th] century":
"World democratic opinion has yet to realize the alarming implications of President Vladimir Putin's State of the Union speech on April 25, 2005, in which he said that the collapse of the Soviet Union represented the 'greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.'

From the Sino-Russian Joint Statement of April 23, 1997:
"The two sides [China and Russia] shall, in the spirit of partnership, strive to promote the multipolarization of the world and the establishment of a new international order."

I said “most Americans” don’t think it’s important. I believe that to be true.

Black Liberation Theology isn’t really communist in any proper sense of the term. No racially or ethnically based group can be, as communism is by definition internationalist and all about rising above petty national and ethnic differences between people.

BLT actually is much more similar to another variant of socialism. I believe it’s called “national socialism” and was quite popular for a while back in the 30s and early 40s.

Since the fall of the old Soviet Union and it's former satellite states in Eastern Europe, the American MSM has been making a conscientious effort to brainwash the public into thinking that "communism is dead." But anyone living and breathing can see openly declared communist states in China (with 20% of the world's population), North Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, etc. Then there are other dictatorships, such as Chavez' Venezuela, which are de facto communist states.

All of these regimes, if afforded the opportunity at a reasonable cost, would gladly expand their geographical territory and influence to create a new "Evil Empire." So anyone who doesn't care about communism and its possible influence upon a major party's presidential candidate like Obama has got his head buried in the sand.
