Russo-Georgian Conflict Originates with Soros Subversion (Doh!)

George Soros, the currency speculator is one of the primary elements in subverting traditional societies in order that they better fit into a new world order. Soros backs on a world scale what might loosely be termed the contemporary version of the ‘New Left’. He brings down governments via subversion, moral rot and revolution through financial patronage, akin to what Jacob Schiff the New York banker did to Russia through the funding of revolutionary propaganda.[1] However Soros’ revolutions are far more widespread than that of Schiff.

Soros has established a network of think tanks, lobbies and fronts to promote sundry causes, from feminism and abortion, to narcotics liberalisation and the stream of ‘velvet revolutions’ that have resulted in ‘regime change’ throughout the former Soviet bloc. [2]

Soros declares George Bush to be a threat to world peace because of the gung ho gunboat diplomacy Bush directs towards ‘rogue states’. But Soros foments more fundamental discord and conflict through his patronage of subversion and revolution. It is significant that he is one of the chief financial backers of Obama’s presidential campaign, along with a mass of other plutocrats. Obama is a typical e.g. of how a ‘man of the people’, America’s equivalent to a System Leftist, is fronting for Big Money. [3]

In 2003 Soros targeted Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze for overthrow. Soros’ aim is the destruction of Russia as a world power. Eliminating Russian influence and replacing it with new regimes hostile to Russia is his goal.

In 2003 Mark MacKinnon writing in the Canadian Globe & Mail succinctly described how Soros applied his revolutionary formulae to overthrowing Shevardnadze, writing of how Soros’ Open Society Institute,

“Sent a 31-year-old Tbilisi activist named Giga Bokeria to Serbia to meet with members of the Otpor (Resistance) movement and learn how they used street demonstrations to topple dictator Slobodan Milosevic. Then, in the summer, Mr. Soros's foundation paid for a return trip to Georgia by Otpor activists, who ran three-day courses teaching more than 1,000 students how to stage a peaceful revolution.”[4]

The youthful activists are a living e.g. of how the Left has always served the interests of the Money power, whether Bolsheviks, Social Democratic liberals, or strident nihilists of the SDS variety. This was long ridiculed as “right-wing conspiracy theory” but now operates for all discerning people to see, even mainstream journalists.

Well finally someone gets it right. Soros hates the Russians and they hate him. Soros hates Bush but Bush promotes his agenda internationally. Odd.

What Fox News and GOP talk radio do not tell you is that Bush (41 and 43) go together for a long time. Soros and Bush 41 are both in the Carlyle Group...big investment firm tied in with GOP, DNC, Globalists, etc. Also Bush 43 sold hi Spectrum 7 oil company to Soros some years ago

Reason #148,514 why you never hear me call Bush a conservative....he is another Liberal Globalist

Then why do so many conservatives who don’t trust a word the MDM says buy any negative propaganda they say about Russia?

Soros wanted to invest in the BTC pipeline. Because he, along wiht many others, supported Georgia liberation, we should sell Georgia to the KGB?
I really hate the Nazi-allied war criminal Soros Gyrogy, but this is a load of crap.

No not "odd".

Both Bush and Soros backed the Rose revolution. Bush wanted a feedom-loving democratic ally. Soros wanted to increase his left-wing power base.

So then the Rose Revolution occurs, Saakashvili gets elected and Saakashvili becomes a good ally to the United States and democracy.

Saakashvili chose to ally himself with Bush and the interests of the United States and not Soros. A simple reading of events since the Rose shows this.

What you find "odd" is really what you don't understand.

I used the word “odd” sarcastically. I see no reason to believe that helping to create left-wing pseudo democracies is going to help us in the future.

No.

Read my post again. Saakashvili didn't ally himself with Soros' leftwing interests. He chose instead to ally himself with U.S. interests. Soros tried to hitch his wagon on the Rose Revolution and Georgia and the Democratically elected Saakashvilli who emerged from the Rose Revolution instead chose the Bush way.

As I said, you don't understand.

Congratulations. Not only does this info dovetail with all I've read; but the data has been cogently put together. Additionally, I find the concluding piece analysis to be fair and on target.

Despite the animosity between Bush and Soros, the dismemberment of Russia serves the interests of both the neo-cons backing Bush/McCain, and their plutocratic antagonists headed by Soros, backing Obama. Both rival power factions are suspicious of Russia, based on its prior record and the path of independence followed under Putin.

And this:

The useful idiots of the Left had done the work of a globalist money speculator, marching under self-proclaimed ‘high ideals’, again fulfilling Oswald Spengler’s political dictum that, to paraphrase, ‘there is not a left-wing movement, not even the communists, who do not operate in the interests dictated by Money…’[7]

No, Soros doesn’t hate the Russians. He’s been quite welcome in Russia for many years.

Good post.

I wrote a speculatory analysis in another thread in re Soro's "genuine" role in so-called Independence. To sum, he was working mostly for his own profit; but he was clearly working with Russia.

The problem was Schverdnadze was "old Russia" and wouldn't institute all the "free the vote" reforms Soros was insisting on. That's when Soros began backing Saakashvili, and against Schverdnadze.

During the run up to the election, at a news conference in Russia, George Soros belittled Schverdnadze in ways that were utterly contemptible. Schverdnadze, obviously involved in the liberation of Georgia in the first place - was now caricatured in Russia into the "hanging man" by Soros at that publicized news conference. Soros called Schverdnadze worse than simply incompetent.

How did this play in Russia? Russians had a newer target to hate, mock and scorn -- a leader of independent Georgia, Schverdnadze. They saw him as a "failed" Liberator; and then of course, a "bad" Russian.

Saakashvili gets elected. Soros thinks he's got a patsy for vicariously implementing a "free vote" which might one day "freely VOTE TO REJOIN RUSSIA." ("hint-hint, nudge-nudge"). A so-called "republic" but voting for communism.

That's pretty much what Soros was up to. He was also booted out of the other independent states and because Soros insisted on micromanaging policy.

And now we get to hear about the "incompetence" of Saakashvili. My, my how history is repeating; but no publicized conference with George Soros in Moscow before the radio and televions.

The meme was already set with Schverdnadze; now, it is the rimed echo in re Mr. Saakashvili.

Addendum to my para: Saakashvili gets elected. Soros thinks he's got a patsy for vicariously implementing a "free vote" which might one day "freely VOTE TO REJOIN RUSSIA." ("hint-hint, nudge-nudge"). A so-called "republic" but voting for communism.

So Ossetia began holding its own elections during the Soros years. So Ossetia refused to vote in Georgian elections.

So Ossetia "felt" dissed and began entrenching warlike behaviors when Georgia passed a law making "Georgian" the official language of Georgia. So, Ossetia figures massive retaliation, starts holding their own elections. Georgia Government retaliates by passing a law banning "regional parties". So. Ossetia, so angry, invites Mother Russia in. Russia with the help of Chirac's France begins offering passports to So. Ossetians. But not to Georgians.

Due to senility and great riches I think Soros has reached the stage where where he does things because he can. Not because there is much sense, coherence or relation to previous activities of his

He still tries to make money but that’s secondary to the haphazard legacy he is establishing

Perhaps, but this time around he has purchased the BIG enchilada, the presidential candidates of both our major parties. Hard to lose when you can do that.

Good assessment. I’ve read George Soros is Obama’s biggest financial backer. No surprises there, neh.

He doesn't own either one. He might have a piece of Barack Obama through some Democrat 527s. What is the McCain connection?

Google Soros McCain. McCain has been carrying water for Soros since at least 2000 (McCain-Feingold), been on his payroll (McCain’s Reform Institute) pushing his agenda, was the main speaker at Soros political convention, etc. Granted it appears that Obama is Soros # 1 choice this election, but he will hardly be disappointed if he has to settle for his 2nd bought and paid for candidate, McCain.

You are correct on McCain Feingold. Soros really played him because Soros knew this would lead to the rise of 527s and Soros is the most notorious and largest 527 donor
