Provacation? What, the Georgians will refuse to lick Putin’s boot with sufficient enthusiasm?
. . . and so Russia has attacked the Muslim state of Georgia in retaliation for the independence of Kosovo.
Wait.
Oh yeah, Georgia is a staunchly Christian nation resisting a relatively secular over bearing state known as Russia.
Actually this is but one of many differences between the silly analogy of Kosovo and Georgia.
You signed up three days ago to post that?
I hope it turns hot, but quick. Get Ukraine and all of the eastern European militaries in high gear and kick the crap out if the thugs in Moscow so bad they crumble.
Fortunately, Russia blowing up the key railroad bridge & crippling the countries railway system was NOT a provocative act. Probably happened after the russkies signed truce #2
Sounds like the Soviet lackeys are back in full control of the media.
Ditto, Russia had a really tough time in Chechnya. I figured Georgia would be much tougher for them in the battlefield. Collectively, I would like to see all these satellite countries put them in their place.
That's good news. It may mean that the Russians are running out of their established propaganda sock-puppet accounts.
We have not yet used our greatest weapon...Wall St. It is time to let the Rooskies know who holds all the cards in this poker game. It is time to get every American bank, mutual fund, insurance company, foundation and every other institution to start selling every Russian stock that we own. Choke the Rooskies in billions of overnight losses and convince the Europeans to do the same. Let the Rooskies know that if you want to be a bully, there is not a single place on earth outside of Russia to park your rubles!
Clearly Putin has aleady been provocative in Gori and Poti along with other areas outside the disputed provinces. He’s going to continue fanning the flames until a situation arises which he claims he needed to respond against. He’s not going away I don’t believe until he installs his own puppet and controls that thin sliver of land between Iran and Russia which the Caspian relies upon. This also puts him within a stones throw of northern Iran.
interesting way to put it, “Georgia is going to engage in a provocative act in Gori, Georgia” (it’s own country) against the Russians. That doesn’t even make sense. If the Russians weren’t there, then this discussion would not be taking place. Just what does the Russian expect from them, to roll over?
