I am an educator. If you think public education is bad, have you tried our private system?
The facts are that most students tend to be liberal because they are poor and uneducated. When they become education, it is often by weak-kneed liberal teachers.
I teach college and most of my colleagues are weak-kneed liberals. BUT, we still have one of the best education systems in the world.
His is funny but....the sad thing is that many kids actually think his humor is a substitute for wisdom.

In other words, most of we voters have never seen or heard of this guy the NY Slimes gushes about. Most US voters are too engrossed in TV soporifics and make up their minds on who to vote for by thinking the name on the ballot sounds good or seeing a last minuted campaign ad on TV.
