Denver is preparing for possible mass arrests of protesters during the Democratic Convention by turning a warehouse into a makeshift holding facility.
The holding center, on city property, has cells formed from chain-link fences and barbed wire, with security cameras on the outside, station KUSA in Denver reported.
Glenn Spagnuolo and other activists gathered outside the facility to protest the city’s plan to use it as a processing center for people arrested outside the convention.
“We feel the city should be ashamed of this secret prison they’ve set up,” Spagnuolo said.

These cells will be used. Organized protesters are planning to be arrested, then to protest their own arrest.
Ummm, hardly a SECRET prison. The location is known. Hardly a PRISON, as it is only used to process those charged during the DNC Convention.
Not much of a secret if I’m reading about it in Fort Worth. What’s wrong with the City of Denver preparing for the lunatic hordes, anarchists, peacecreeps, hippies and assorted flotsam that are about to roll into town? And that’s just the democratic party delegates!
They should put htem into the stadium.

There’s nothing secret about it. Denver recognizes if the nutburgers do something requiring mass arrests there won’t be enough space in the regular jail and they’ll need more.
