Sore Loser

Sore Loser By John H. Fund, 8/18/2008 10:11:19 AM The Barack Obama campaign apparently went outside the normal spin guardrails yesterday in trying to explain how John McCain did so well in Saturday's Saddleback Forum with Pastor Rick Warren. As NBC's Andrea Mitchell noted on Sunday's "Meet the Press," what the Obama campaign is "putting out privately is that McCain may not have been in the cone of silence and may have had some ability to overhear what the questions were to Obama. . . . He seemed so well prepared."

The Presidential election was too close to call. Neither the Republican candidate nor the Democratic candidate had enough votes to win.. There was much talk about ballot recounting, court challenges, etc., but a week-long ice fishing competition seemed the sportsmanlike way to settle things. The candidate that caught the most fish at the end of the week would win the election.

Therefore, it was decided that there should be an ice fishing contest between the two candidates to determine the winner.

After much of back and forth discussion, it was decided that the contest take place on a remote frozen lake in northern Minnesota .

There were to be no observers present, and both men were to be sent out separately on this isolated lake and return at 5 P.M. with their catch for counting and verification by a team of neutral parties. At the end of the first day, John McCain returned to the starting line and he had ten fish.

Soon, Obama returned and had no fish. Well, everyone assumed he was just having another 'bad hair' day or something and hopefully, he would catch up the next day.

At the end of the 2nd day John McCain came in with 20 fish and Obama came in again with none.

That evening, Harry Reid got together secretly with Obama and said, "Obama, I think John McCain is a low-life, cheatin' son-of-a-gun. I want you to go out tomorrow and don't even bother with fishing. Just spy on him and see just how he is cheating."

The next night (after John McCain returns with 50 fish), Harry said to Obama, "Well, tell me, how is John Mc. cheating?"

Obama replied, "Harry, you're not going to believe this, but he's cutting holes in the ice!"

If you haven’t thought through practically any conceivable question that could be asked, in practically every possible configuration, you probably shouldn’t be running for President of the United States.

And when Kerry was filmed pulling out a PDA, MSM went ballistic over a lump in Bush’s suit that proved he was wired.

The left will always accuse you of what they have been up to all along.

I bet Barry knew most of the questions beforehand, thus, McCain must have cheated.

Ain't that the truth! Did Obama not think he would be asked about abortion? I guess he's so used to getting kid-glove treatment from the media that he really didn't think he would. He knew this was coming & he didn't try to prepare? His performance was abysmal & even all the democrats have to admit that it was.

They're already talking about the possibility that Obama could have this election "stolen" from him over at DUmmie Underground. It's really incredible. I'm no McCain lover, but he did pretty good & mopped the floor with Obama. Barack Obama is woefully unprepared to be President of the United States. I smell a Hillary come-back!

Why do these “debates” need to consist of surprise questions, for cryin’ out loud? A man doesn’t have to be Quick-Draw McGraw to be a good president. Wise decisions are not the product of investigative-reporter-type question-traps.

Let us open our newspapers, magazines and websites to the candidates, and let them engage in written debates on a short list of agreed-upon propositions, each certifying that he is the primary author of his submissions. Then let America judge each candidate’s arguments, reasoning, and conclusions.

“Barack Obama is woefully unprepared to be President of the United States”

A letter writer in our local liberal rag had to sink to the lowest levels yet in this debate. The fool actually argued that Obama had the managerial ability to be president because he was running a campaign. He was, through his campaign, showing the ability to select, hire and manage people as well as the ability to formulate policies, interact with the media and deal with foreign leaders! Best laugh of the day but it is scary how these people think...

The Obama campaign and NBC mistakenly highlighted the debate and it’s now an issue. Their smartest move would have been to ignore it.

So yeah, I agree with the Obama campaign. Let’s get to the heart of the issue of why McCain did so well and Obama so poorly. I move for a full investigation!

Good idea, except do you honestly believe such a certification would mean anything at all to a donk, let alone the Obamanation?

As I watched the repeat on CNN last night, I noted that McCain looked comfortable and Obama looked nervous.

Then I thought "Well, just reverse the setting. Have this discussion at a Communist Party USA convention and Obama would look comfortable and McCain would look nervous."

It strikes me..these questions. Did they need "prepping"? It seems to me they're the kind of things you'd have right there at the front of your brain: Is there such thing as evil? What would you do about it? When does life start?

It's telling the Dems think Obama failed because of a lack in preparation, not a fundamental flaw of philosophy.

We need to investigate: What does McCain know about confronting evil and when did he know it?
