Their site: http://www.image-metrics.com/ has another cool vid. I don't scare easily, but I found that one disturbing. Maybe it was that scream.

I watched the video at that link. The animation still looks unreal to me; something indefinable isn’t quite hitting the mark.

We ultimately in the future wont be able to rely on our senses for any input. Well only be able to trust someone and have them tell us what is true and real I think our bullscat meters will still work.

Then ATI 4870 X2 is one of the fastest GPU currently for sale at an affordable price.
It is so fast that it will peak at 100 GFlops by itself.
The Folding@home team uses these cards to provide for protein folding simulations. One card can already process 3 - 4 protein snippets per day.
If any FReepers own one of these fast GPUs please consider loading the Folding@home software on that system.
It is so fast that you can actually model the Brownian motion of water molecules before a protein falls into a new energy state.

I watched the video at that link. The animation still looks unreal to me; something indefinable isnt quite hitting the mark. I think it's the skin texture. Skin has a certain amount of transparency which is lacking in these computer generated images. I have also noticed that computer generated male characters tend to look much more realistic than females because they put more texture in the male skin.
