Countless public opinion polls indicate that somewhere between 94 percent and 97 percent of black people will vote for Sen. Obama. Personally, I believe the percentage will be even higher, and it will include a considerable number of those who identify as “black conservatives.”
I obviously find no fault with blacks who vote for Obama because they embrace his proposals and philosophy, even if I disagree with certain components of that philosophy. But it is deeply troubling for me when segments of the American people cast their votes for candidates on the basis of their “race,” color, sex, ethnicity or national ancestry. And, no one can argue effectively that as many as 97 percent of black people identify with Sen. Obama’s philosophy. Therefore, many (I would argue the majority) are being guided solely by the influence of race.

There are two forms of racism:
1. Illogical preference of a minority, and
2. Illogical denial of a minority
(I thought that blacks couldn’t be racist?) /sarcasm
