In 2004 I volunteered several evenings to make calls for the Bush campaign. I spent a few weekends canvassing neighborhoods talking to voters. I didn't earn any points and expected nothing in return. I volunteered.
My reason was that I trusted George W. Bush to keep this country strong, to continue to fight the terrorists in their backyard on our terms, and most of all, to not punish me for being more successful financially in the next 4 years.
These people have to ask themselves "what has Barack Obama and the Democrat Party done lately to earn your trust?" If they are promising you more goodies from the government, which of your neighbors are being punished so that you can have the fruits of their labor?
