All the gains McCain made at Saddlebrook would be washed down the drain.

I heard that last night Lieberman introduced McCain to a fundraiser in Atlanta.
I don’t really like where he has been going with this.

Under strong consideration: former Pennsylvania Republican Gov. Tom Ridge, and Lieberman, who was Al Gores running mate in 2000.Inaccurate, as of about 5 minutes ago. They are saying Tom Ridge is out of the running. Good. I'm from Pennsylvania. Ridge started out well, but folded like a cheap tent when the Dems in the legislature dug in their heals.

This is one of the few things McCain could do that would keep me from voting for him.

“Dems floating this?”
These are McCain’s people, though, you can hardly tell the difference between them and real Democrats...

I'm not buying it. I think this is the MSM trying to ruffle some Conservative feathers. He has too many other choices that would benefit him without harming Conservatives and he could still get Lieberman a good post.

Lieberman is simply too old. He and McCain will look like a couple of retirees who meet every day at the coffee shop to discuss the world and their ailments.
McCain needs some youth to balance the ticket, and he knows it.

National Review is hearing the same rumors from team McCain (though it’s debatable how conservative NRO is)

Yaaawn! When will we stop posting this crap over and over again? Liberal press (Politico for FREAKING goodness!) quoting unnamed “sources”. The dems try to torpedo McCain’s smashing success at the Saddleback forum. McCain won’t pick Ridge or Lieberman.

“All the gains McCain made at Saddlebrook would be washed down the drain.”
You are correct! If McCain chooses a pro-choice VP after what he said so STRONGLY on Saturday night at the Saddleback Forum he just might lose in November. McCain said:
I have a 25-year pro life record in the Congress, in the Senate, and as president of the United States, I will be a pro life President and this presidency will have pro life policies. Thats my commitment, thats my commitment to you.
After that statement, a pro-life VP will most certainly flush down the drain any gains he made with very many conservatives. Why? Lack of trust....yet again!
To: GOPGuide
Since, at this point there is no former or current governor in the mix anywhere, why not Zell Miller?

Maverick is his name. Joe is a liberal dem. Never forget . Look at his vote record. The only thing he supports is the war. He fought the judge selections each step of the way. If mccain croaks the dems have truly won it all.
