The abortion argument is won by changing people’s hearts — one by one — and people’s hearts are changing, thank God.

"McCain got the message last week that choosing a running mate who supports abortion rights would not be helpful." So conservatives badmouthing McCain's ideas is a good thing, it can push him in the "right" direction. Some on FR need to keep that in mind.

You believe he changed his mind..what two or three times now was it? Yea right.
Look...if you want an "anything goes" ticket just go for the gold.

What has McCain really said about choosing a pro-abortion (isn’t that what choice means?) VP?
I think we’re all just a little too ready to let the MSM mess with our minds.

Sarah does not have that much experience, but the Obama campaign wouldn’t dare bring that up.

LOL, no problem FRiend, I'll send you an invoice! ;)
No worries, Whitman is just as comfortable with conducting search and destroy operations inside a pregnant woman's womb as George 'The Killer' Tiller, she just knows how to smile about it.

Do some of you always believe what the media is saying? Putting names out there for VP has been going on for years to throw people off on who is the real pick. Media loves it while knowing full well their ruffling conservative feathers which is what they want.

I sincerely believe his mind has been changed or I would not have voted for him. He gave us his answer, which I believe is very sincere. It was a very understandable and moving answer.

Please see my previous post #72. It applies both to Obama AND to Palin.

My husband wants Thune. We watched him defend his ProLife stand as well as his other positions when he ran for Senator and were dazzled.
Haven’t heard much about Thune since then.

“In this day and age, why is abortion the number one concern for so many Republicans?”
Ethics and values are timeless. Where you stand on the fundamental issues of life, liberty, religious expression, etc. determines what perspective you would use to determine all the present day problems like Russia-Georgia.
Discard ethics and values and you’ll be wandering around aimlessly (like Obama this past weekend).
