Here is another message for the RNC to deliver to John McCain. Senator Joe Lieberman is not a Republican. He is an Independent who still works mostly with the democrats. If Republicans are to be asked to support and finance the Republican party, we expect our candidates for Republican offices to be registered Republicans. Further, a half Republican, half hybrid democrat ticket means that the democrats own one and a half parties and Republicans have half of a party. Where in the world did the common sense of Republican party leaders go? I am not sure that John McCain is the real Lieberman VP pusher. Maybe this is all media hype. Whatever is going on, Republicans have carried this party up until now and we expect two Republicans to be on the Republican ticket in November.

Several sources at the RNC told FOX News that in the last 36 hours, senior McCain advisers and aides have told RNC officials that McCain “got the message” last week that choosing a running mate who supports abortion rights would not be helpful.

Wait a minute. Is it the last 36 hours, i.e, just early Monday...or was it "last week" he "got the message"?

Anyways, he seems to have a harder and harder time "getting the message" than ever.

He still hasn't got it right about AMNESTY FOR ILLEGALs, as one example.

Don't just take my word for it, here's a quote from McCain from the recent meeting of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (link):

[He told them that] fixing U.S. immigration policy would be a priority — even as he acknowledged it's not popular with some members of his own party. "It'll be my top priority yesterday, today and tomorrow," McCain said.

Sigh.

I think they did this to make Pawlenty or Romney look better to conservatives.

Somebody tell me why I should be excited about Pawlenty? I’ll admit I’m on the Palin bandwagon and maybe I just don’t know enough about Pawlenty. Edumacate me please.

How much do people really believe that President Bush was actually pro-life personally?

He said pro-lifers needed to change "hearts and minds" before fighting abortion. Did he do one thing to change anyone's heart or mind about abortion in 7 1/2 years?
