Until we hear it from Joe Lieberman himself, it is nothing but a rumor. And the Dems want us to be all befuddled right now, so relax.

Organizing resolutions are subject to unanimous approval. Remember Jeffords.

I like Lieberman. I disagree with him on most issues, but as far as politicians go I’d rather see him in the Senate than the guy he beat.

We already had the Senate in 2004 when Zell Miller spoke, and gained on our thin majority in the ensuing election.

As for getting back the Senate, it sounds like a great idea, but who is to say that one of the RINOs might not just take Lieberman’s place? We know that Chaffee probably would have flipped, had he won reelection, and someone like Hagel, Collins, Snowe, or the like could easily jump over.

Why would he? The Republicans are just as lame as the Democrats. He should stay independent, that would be a very foolish move if you ask me.

It’d be nice if the GOP took control and then recessed the Senate for a week or so instead of the fake recesses the Dems are doing.

Controlling the Senate until November is more important than ideological party purity. Socialistic crap can be stopped dead in its tracks with McConnell as the majority leader instead of Reid.

Other than being a foreign policy hawk Lieberman is a liberal. His ACU rating in 2007 was 8 (out of 100) - Obama's was 7.

If he switches parties, Lieberman would find himself at odds with the GOP almost all the time, unless he somehow completely changes his politics.

The sad thing is, he will be more liberal than CT’s last Republican Senator, Lowell Weicker.

It is long over due. Maybe he will moderate some of his social positions to the right.

That picture would be even better if the rhino in front (i.e. the humpee) were an elephant.

Just what the republican party needs, another person too be called a RINO. That is exactly what the guy would be. He is pro abortion, pro gay marriage, pro illegals, you name it. He is simply a screaming liberal. Thus, a perfect RINO.

Remember Ben Nighthorse Campbell? He did this and was a big moderate/lib GOP guy. He was a good vote for organizaitonal purposes, but he wasn’t much of a bedrock conservative.

Take what we can get in this game.

I am not sure but i think it does
that would be nice
granted he would be a Rino but at least this Rino would have a backbone and some semblance of honor
