That's WHY he is doing it.

Let's be honest, people. McCain knew from the start that he had aggravated too many conservatives for too long to drag sufficient quantities of them back in time for the election.

Therefore, he must have had a plan all along for winning without them, or his candidacy makes no sense at all.

Enter Joe Lieberman, newly-christened Republican (sorta). As Dems go he is as right as they get. As a Republican, he will be as left as they get. On a McCain ticket he shores up very strong support from the center-left Republicans and the center-right Democrats, leaving Obama nothing but the hardcore Moonbat vote and the Black vote.

Even the Jewish vote defects to the Republican side under a McCain-Lieberman ticket because there is no stronger supporter of Israel in the entire Senate.

Not to mention the fact that Joe and John have been best buddies for years.

I've seen this coming for months.
