Republicans have jobs and responsibilities. We can’t afford to stay out all night at some smelly bar. Our family’s depend on us to make it to work the next day and actually be productive.

Well, it stands to reason that you should get a bigger tip if you spend 5 minutes mixing a pink fruit drink than if you spend 5 seconds pouring someone a shot straight out of the bottle.
I suspect that the Republican tippers would come out ahead in terms of dollars per minute of work.

It's confirmed then.
Democrats are chatty, effeminate alcoholics.

Michael O’Brien must have just fallen off the turnip truck. It is a violation of federal law to do a story about bars in Washington, D.C. and not mention Ted Kennedy. I cannot believe The Hill’s editors thought it worth while to sacrifice trees for such sophomoric drivel.

Keep in mind that John Kerry got 90% of the vote in DC in 2004. It's likely that most bartenders just don't like Republicans.

Businessmen are the best tippers. Any bartender will tell you that. Teachers are the worst. Conservatives never forget to tip the bartender.

this article again?
dems really aren’t better. like anything else dems do, it seems better because its on taxpayer money and in volume. dem comes in, brings five friends, orders expensive, PITA drinks, spends $100, tips $10.
‘pub comes in orders scotch, spends $10, tips $3.
gimme the ‘pub. after taxes on my tips, the extra time it takes to make those foo foo drinks, and dealing with their crap.. the ‘pub comes out better.

Republicans were more likely to order their drinks straight-up Probably more likely to order the premium brands, as well. Bartenders may like the Dems more, but bar owners prefer Repubs.

Teachers are the WORST! I used to hate it when they would have their “teacher’s workshops” and then all straggle into my gin joint. All they did was complain about the kids and left nickles on the bar.

the bartenders said Republicans were more likely to order their drinks straight-up than Democrats, who were described as being more likely to order up pink (girly) drinks at the bar.
I was a bartender for 20 yrs and always preferred the customers who ordered non ‘girly’ drinks. Girly drinks are alot more work.
