Edwards would not help Obama carry Texas, but he might help in some swing states. A rather shocking announcement, if true.

Didn’t Nancy Pelosi tell Obama a few days ago that he should pick Chet Edwards? He may not be a “nancy boy” but he’s Nancy’s boy.

Right now the AP article you linked merely says that Chet Edwards is one of five “finalists”

That AP article has been changing/updating by the minute. A few minutes ago Sidotti indicated she had some scoop that it is going to be Edwards. Something is up if his name is being floated this late in the game, but I guess Sidotti's editor is getting nervous.

To me, Bambi tipped his hand to Chet Edwards by saying the person was “willing to challenge his thinking”. That’s how he can explain away why Edwards has the opposite position on the Iraq War.

Because they printed a million Obama/Edwards bumperstickers a month ago and it would be a shame to waste them.

Purely excellent observation. They’ve got class!!!!
Elected for Post of the Day! The exact kind of thing these a holes would do!

Now they can use the Obama/Edwards bumper stickers after all.

LOL! Provided Chet doesn't have any bimbo eruptions.

That would be an unusual choice but he’s W’s congressman so maybe Obama is going with symbolism over substance?

*Edwards lives in Waco and his district includes Bush’s parish
*Edwards endorses Obama
*Pelosi recommended Edwards to Obama.
*Edwards said he would accept if offered.
