“...and had an extended warranty...”

Lot of good that did. Now I’m glad I never bought one for my ten-year-old truck.

Really... you really are trying to tell me all those incidents are connected somehow. A reason why those minor events have garners so much attention is because of the Spanair disaster. Bomb threats are infrequent, but somewhat common. A flight returning to an airport after takeoff, it happens every day. Trust me, if there was some kind of link someone important would see it. This is just conspiratorial garbage.

I’ve done a lot of travelling this summer and I was amazed at how few old cars I saw on the road. Mostly late model vehicles everywhere.

“There was a small plane which crashed in Utah (probably yesterday), killing everyone on board (10 or 11 people).”

Yes, you are correct. I forgot about that one.

But maybe it is too small and doesn’t count...maybe.

P.S.

If there is no other plane crash in the next 24-48 hours, that small plane was No. 2 and this last one was No. 3.

“The Boeing was produced in 1979...”

" How many people drive 30 yr old cars? "

In commercial aviation, it's not how old the plane is, but, how many cycles are on the plane ( take offs, cruising altitude, and landings are on the plane ) that is the main factor, included in with how old it is.
It's all about how well the planes are maintained.

The names of the basketball players do NOT appear in the passenger list, so hopefully, the Interfax report was incorrect and the U.S. basketball players are okay -

I’m going to try to research the age of aircraft in all crashes over the last 10 yrs. Will get back to you.

Yes, sometimes age is a factor, but, also, how well the plane is maintained.
Many plane crashes are caused by weather, pilot error, ATC error.
If a plane of a good run airline is well maintained and they don't cut corners, then they are safe.
