John McCain: "We Need Joe Biden for Secretary of State."
Eagle Forum Report ^ | 199

Here is the full context from the Eagle Forum Report

We must also repudiate any Republicans who are backing up Clinton. Tell your Senators not to go along with Sen. John McCain's idea authorizing "whatever force necessary" for victory. McCain is trying to give us one-party government. On Meet the Press on April 11, he said, "We need Joe Biden for Secretary of State." When an astonished Tim Russert asked, "Is that an offer by President McCain?". McCain replied, "Absolutely!"

Times change ...
I doubt that the fact that McCain was high on Biden in 1999 has much import on how he views him today.

They were democrats together weren’t they?

This McCain quote only points out what should be obvious to anyone who has been paying attention; the Dems and Reps are working together and have been for some time now. They figured out the only way to get such a lousy Republican candidate elected was to nominate Obama and then saddle him with Biden. It’s time that sincere people voted their consciences and went for someone “with no chance to win” who actually is promoting the constitution and sanity. Chuck Baldwin is the candidate of the Constitution Party. I know he won’t win but Obama won’t win either. McCain cannot win my state of NY without democrats so I might as well vote my conscience and trust in God. The Constitution Party is the party of the future if we give it a chance.

They are part of the same small club. Those who think that the coming election will make much of a difference are fooling themselves. Obama might increase government a little faster than McCain but other than that, the differences are trivial.

McCain's Senior Team - questions about John McCain's foreign policy plans
Insight on the News, March 13, 2000 by J. Michael Waller
(snip)

National-security issues, which McCain sees as one of his strongest points, may end up being his Achilles' heel. Already there is concern among his conservative friends that McCain may lack the disposition to command, showing an uncertain sense of purpose and outright bad political judgment.

"What's the first thing you would do as president?" the Detroit News recently asked McCain.

"The first thing I would do," the candidate answered, "is call in John Kerry, Bob Kerrey, Joe Biden, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Henry Kissinger, Dick Lugar, Chuck Hagel and several others and say we've got to get foreign-policy, national-security issues back on track."

That statement ricocheted through cyberspace, with Washington national-security experts wondering, "Is McCain nuts?" The formula doesn't compute:

...McCain is trying to give us one-party government...

A great man once said that there wasn't a dime's worth of difference between the two parties.

Well, if this was 1999, wouldn’t it simply be McCain saying that Biden should be Bill Clinton’s SofS, which is no big deal? Don’t we laugh when Dems try to tell us who we should appoint?

I don't think that intepretation will work. The more logical way to view it is that he prefered Biden regardless of whether Clinton was president. McCain, after all, seriously considered defecting to the Democrats not once, but twice, after this. McCain was also an outlier in the GOP on the Kosovo war. Most Republicans were antiwar on that conflict....so their is every reason he would prefer the comparatively hawkish Biden.

The Dems and Reps are working together and have been for some time now.

The only thing that will remedy this is term limits.

The incumbents are corrupted by power and have forgotten why they were sent there in the first place. They have rigged the game in a way that gives them an advantage and hamstrings their opponents. Therefore, they no longer rely on the consent of the people to govern, they rely on a rigged system.

With that said, McCain is still by far the better choice and if need be, I will crawl through glass to vote for him over the over the marxist, islamist, race bating, class warfare, judicial activist, blame America first Hussein.

I used to be a big enthusiast for term limits, until I saw what they’ve done for California! If you want to crawl on broken class to vote for John “obscene profits” “Wall Street is to blame” McCain, that is your right. If he wins, howevever, I hope that you will be willing to openly share the blame for his policies.

“”If you want to know who really runs the world and the lengths to which they will go to establish their globalist hegemony, you must read Estulin’s well-documented The True Story of The Bildaberger Group.” —carolynbaker.net

“Judging from the list of frontrunners of each party, Daniel Estulin . . . may be on to something.” —worldnetdaily.com

“For some 15 years, Estulin has been a thorn in the sides of the Bildabergers, relentlessly hunting down their secret meeting places, gaining inside sources who divulge what goes on behind closed doors, even photographing attendees and publicly disclosing it all. Now he has put it all in a book that every person who values freedom and democracy should read.” —Onlinejournal.com”
