They’ll be found to be outside some arbitrary guideline, because what is the point of issuing the guidelines if you’re not going to find them in violation?

Then they will be required to pay some kind of monthly “fine” to the state government of maybe a couple million per month.

And they will be required to pay for some kind of “offset”, either buying “credits” from the carbon credit mafia, or else buying land and donating it to the park service. All of this will increase the cost of gasoline at the pump, because corporations don’t pay taxes, they collect them. They don’t pay fines or offsets, they collect the money from the customer.

Finally someone believes like I do. Go one step further, any fee levied on local business also result in increase in the cost to consumers. All businesses must return a profit, so when taxes are increased, goodbye business. Expand this to every increase government makes and no matter what cute word they call it is paid by the consumer.
