WASHINGTON - A son of Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden was paid an undisclosed amount of money as a consultant by MBNA, the largest employer in Delaware, during the years the senator supported legislation that was promoted by the credit card industry and opposed by consumer groups.

Barack Obama's presidential campaign said Biden helped forge a bipartisan compromise on the measure, which is now law and makes it harder for consumers to obtain bankruptcy protection in the courts.
MBNA's consulting payments to Hunter Biden, first reported by The New York Times, followed his departure in 2001 from the company, where he had been an executive.
Obama opposed the bankruptcy law, enacted in 2005, while Biden supported it.

It ought to be illegal to “consult” for ANYONE for a fee while you are a sitting member of Congress.

Biden is working to turn his two sons into LOBBYING MILLIONAIRES as a result of his being a Senator JUST LIKE Senator Harry Reid turned his four sons & son in law into lobbying MILLIONAIRES.

Re: The bankruptcy bill. I don’t think the GOP wants to go there. That’s a sleeping dog that is best left alone.

This is the kind of “scheme” that Democrat/Corrupt politicians take for granted as permissible. Their excuse is usually that they would’ve supported the legislation in question anyway and that the “favors” given to members of their family did not influence them.

Sort of on another subject, Cramer of Mad Money today was talking about how Pelosi has tons of money invested in natural gas and compressed gas. I guess we all know which way the laws will go come a democrat congress this nov.

He picked Biden over Hillary? If he picked the “witch” he would have sewed up the Presidential race overnight. Instead he let personal differences control his actions. The reality is she got millions of voters to Biden chicken feed. I am thankful he did not pick the Hill but geez this guy must be dumb as a bag of rocks.

It could be that he wants to go on living.

Go look at the bio of Joe Biden from
The Almanac of American Politics (online at
www.nationaljournal.com/almanac/2008/people/de/des1.php). Charles Schumer added a provision to the Senate version of the bill which made fines imposed on anti-abortion protestors (presumably by liberal judges who don't believe the First Amendment covers anti-abortion speech) not dischargable in bankruptcy. Biden supported this provision so fiercely that he allowed the bill to be delayed getting adopted for 4 years.
Clearly Biden is a fanatic when it comes to supporting abortion.

Credit card companies two favorite states are Delaware and South Dakota, Biden’s and Daschle’s coffers are full of money from CC Companies.
