Does anybody else find it odd that the wife of a US Senator is going to the country of Georgia to comfort the locals? What can she possibly do to aid their situation?
Factfinding for Senator McCain, perhaps?
She offers beauty and beer-—choose the order. I think it is great!
Maybe she will bring them beer. ;)
Weird. Btw, who is paying her trip? Mr.Scheunemann?
Don’t look for any such deep purpose.
This is just to get a one-up on me-shell.
at the very least attention, moral support and first hand feedback to mccain
She is going to show the Georgian’s and the Russians that the next president of the US takes the Russian’s incursion into the soverign nation of Georgia very seriously and will continue to support the Georgian cause for freedom and independence. This is a brilliant move - not just meant to be an in-your-face slap at Obama’s lackadasical response but to show that McCain’s mean business and will continue to support democracy against tyranny!
Cindy for First Lady, indeed !!
I find it odd and if it were Michelle Obama instead everyone would be all over it.
Cindy McCain's Mission to Georgia (Will Meet w/ Pres. Sakaasvili)McCain is traveling with the U.N.'s World Food Program, whose work she monitored in Southeast Asia and Africa this spring and summer. McCain planned to meet with Georgian President Mikheil Sakaasvili, and to visit with wounded Georgian soldiers. She would also visit representatives of the HALO Trust, which works to remove landmines and on whose board she serves.
Cindy McCain has done extensive charitable work for decades. She went to Rwanda last month, Vietnam and Cambodia in June. See pictures at:
