The article said:

“Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Republican of Texas, was also mentioned as a possibility on Wednesday, but veteran Republicans quickly discounted her because of what is described as her cool relationship with McCain.”

Lieberman, but only because he can't get Hillary.

I'd vote enthusiastically for the GOP ticket if the VP were Fred.

No cheers, unfortunately.

The Good: Palin, Jindal, Cantor

The Bad: Huckabee, Lieberman, Crist, Graham

The Boring: Pawlenty, Romney

I think you about summed it up. I'd only add Kasich to the Good column, and I'd note that Pawlenty is a heck of a lot duller than Romney. Honestly, what can he really bring to the ticket? He's not going to excite anyone outside of Minnesota.

Having convictions you stand by is not self-righteousness. Perhaps if a few folks had done it more, we wouldn’t have Obama and McCain as our choices.

There was just recently a 57 point swing over at Intrade from Romney to Hutchinson.

NEW.REP.VP.ROMNEY
Mitt Romney to be Republican VP Nominee in 2008 M Trade 31.0 39.9 30.2 11014 -36.3

NEW.REP.VP.HUTCHISON
Kay Bailey Hutchison to be Republican VP Nominee in 2008 M Trade 24.0 28.0 25.0 1310 +21.9

Drudge Report is saying that McCain has made a decision, looks like it’s leak time.

It will either Palin or Hutchison. The McCain camp understands that they have a _real_ shot at winning the general election via an electoral blow-out if they can carry the disenfranchised female vote.

You want change? Vote McCain/Palin.

Hutchison is a little older. Palin would connect more with younger women. Mitt would be good, because he isn’t Washington. Huck is a good speaker, but apparently has little else to offer. Lieberman or Ridge are horrible choices. Cantor is an unknown (but so is Palin) but looks good. Pawlenty, never heard of until this election cycle.

“Having convictions you stand by is not self-righteousness.”

Ignoring reality and the CONSEQUENCES of your actions is NOT “having convictions”. How does it fit with your conservative convictions to actively help elect Obama, who will destroy everything you hold dear?

” If it’s a woman it will be the biggest landslide in presidential history “

If it is PALIN it’ll be the biggest landslide in presidential history .

He will choose his old friend Joe Biden to cause confusion, particularly among Biden.

Voting for one pro-abort verses another is no choice. The consequence of either is dead babies and lots of them. McCain is already a nose holder on that issue with the stem cell research. He can not expect us to bend over and accept just anyone that he brings to the table.

Bottom line: I FEAR GOD more than I do Obama.
