McCain to announce running mate on Friday (make your predictions now)
International Herald Tribune ^ | Aug. 28, 2008 | Elisabeth Bumiller and Michael Cooper

Posted on 08/27/2008 7:39:17 PM PDT by FocusNexus

Senator John McCain has decided on his running mate, two Republican strategists in contact with McCain's campaign said Wednesday. He is expected to reveal his choice at a rally at a basketball arena in Dayton, Ohio, at 11 a.m. Friday.

McCain's decision is known only to his small inner circle of advisers, no more than three or four people, who have refused all public discussion on the matter. Republicans close to the campaign said that the top contenders remained the same three men who have been the source of speculation for weeks: former Governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts, Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota and, possibly, Senator Joseph Lieberman, independent of Connecticut.

The VP will be Pawlenty.

He is a proven “cap and trade” carbon credits guy.

The hopes in that scam is what’s funding much for both sides in this election. Goldman Sachs, the trading houses, etc.

The money men will want to know the VP is secure.

Lieberman is proven too. But he’s not youthful.

I can’t tell if Meg Whitman is a cap and trader, but probably she is, because she’s on the short list.

Let’s hope he doesn’t pick Lieberman. Neocon Bill Kristol wrote an article in the NYT a few days ago in support of Lieberman as the VP pick.

Not necessarily my first pick, but I think it will be Kay Bailey-Hutchison.

This article skipped Eric Cantor who the GOP insiders are saying is at the top of the list so I will go with Cantor.

Two out of those three have been off the list according to sources for sometime with one never seriously being considered.

Who ever it is, we can count on John McCain to let down and infuriate a large segment of the GOP base. Count on it. (...and I hope I’m wrong)

“Two out of those three have been off the list according to sources for sometime with one never seriously being considered.”

Is one of those Pawlenty?

I might have to go back to Huckster, a “religious” believer in cap and trade.

Lieberman would be the pick of the globalist elite who run the world, as they picked Biden, another CFR guy, for Obama. And they have McCain in their hip pocket. So says a conspiracy nut aquaintance.

The Good: Palin, Jindal, Cantor

The Bad: Huckabee, Lieberman, Crist, Graham

The Boring: Pawlenty, Romney

I have no clue who he will pick... as long as he avoind “The Nad” I would be OKAY with any of the other 5.
