Secret Service has conducted a security sweep of the home of Romneys sister. Did she threaten him?

If I were Pawlenty I’d do that just to mess with the media’s heads...but yeah, it could be very good evidence.

I think it’s a good pick, though I am concerned about the spin of “two rich white guys with 12 homes between them.” Still, no one in the running for veep has more business experience than Romney.

Romney is known to be a great organizer and leader. He had a great ground network in place for the primary. He shared all that with McCain after he withdrew. No way McCain got my email address any other way. Anyway it’s more than Mitt’s money. I believe it would give McCain a bump if he chooses Mitt.

That’s the thing, though. It might be that Mitt is not the pick and the sweep has to do with McCain and his crew staying overnight at the Romney place or doing a campaign event there.

Excellent point.

I know there are a lot of Freepers who will be unhappy if its Romney, but I think this is a good pick.
All conservatives should mourn such a pick.
I'm hoping this is all misdirection. Romney is a terrible pick.

I always wondered if McCain offered Mitt the VP spot back in February so that he’d bow out of the race.

If I were the McCain camp, I’d hire a bunch of guys who would wear suits, have earpieces and rent some black Yukon’s, then send them to several potential VP’s and get everyone shorts in a knot.

He can raise money for the RNC which can be used for one thing. He seems to be best next to Bush for fund raising. I AM GLAD to hear this, as Carl Cameron just said Pawlenty is clearing his schedule for today and tomorrow. (the way they are doing this it could be multiple decoys, who knows)....

Right now the conservative priority is to keep the terrorist barbecue buddy out of the Oval Office. If Mitt can help do that, I’m in.

LOL! He's so great that the GOP is a rumor in Massachusetts these days.
