I’d be very happy with Mitt or Cantor. Pawlenty would be a boring pick, and I can’t trust a guy who was sporting a mullet as recently as a month ago. :-)

Dude, its Massachusetts. Do you also expect the Democrat Party to mount a strong effort in Wyoming?
What I want to know is this--how come when the Dems take a governorship, the legislature almost invariably moves Dem as well and the Democrat party in that state grows stronger.
Meanwhile, in states like Massachusetts, NY, NJ, and PA, electing liberal Republican governors leads to the virtual destruction of the state GOP.
In Romney's case, the GOP got crushed in MA after he left and the state party leaders complained loudly that he didn't help them one bit.
Mitt Romney has always been about one thing--Mitt Romney.

Any McCain campaign appearance in Michigan would likely include Romney, who remains popular there. Not among Republicans when I lived there, the Romneys were a big democrat family in Michigan not republican. But hey reality does not seem to matter much to the party this year.

Why would a security sweep occur just hours before an announcement? What if they found something that would force him to squelch the pick?
This story is BS.

Of course not. He (Romney) agrees with them. Their lies then become 'truth' because someone on the 'other side' agreed with their premise. He's spent his entire career doing it. LOL Whatever it takes. We need this election.

You guys never got above 13 percent or so in any poll until the very end when all was left was Romney and McCain. The people here who do not like Romney VASTLY outnumber you sycophants.
God help us if McCain actually does pick Romney, because you fools will finally find out just how divisive this guy is outside of your little world.
To: pissant
There was a post thread on FR that some SUV was following Mitt to the airport, and reports that a police escort was with him.
However, a private security firm can also be hired for protection.
Still, there is no real confirmation if it was or was not secret service agents.
