I would point out that if McCain was visiting Romney at any point during the campaign (for reasons unrelated to the VP pick), the SS would check out the house. If Romney doesn’t have a house in Michigan anymore, he might have said, “Come over to my sister’s place on your Michigan campaign swing and we’ll get together.”
But it sure is odd timing if that’s true.
There are also reports that Romney is being followed by men with earphones in black SUVs with Maryland plates.
