Bush urged to block Mexican military Agents cite rash of incursions

The U.S. Border Patrol's largest union local has asked President Bush to put an end to the scores of Mexican military incursions into the United States that have put Border Patrol agents at risk of being injured or killed. "It is disgraceful that Border Patrol agents are put in harm's way and our government doesn't do everything reasonably within its power to protect us from marauding Mexican soldiers and others," said Edward "Bud" Tuffly II, head of Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) in Tucson. "Without a forceful response to these illegal incursions, an agent will eventually be seriously wounded or killed. It is only a matter of time," Mr. Tuffly said. "The incursions will not stop until the Mexican military units and their commanders are held accountable for their actions." In a letter Saturday to Mr. Bush, Mr. Tuffly asked the president to "take a strong stand against" Mexican military incursions.

“The incursions will not stop until the Mexican military units and their commanders are held accountable for their actions.”

ALL we need is a Romulan response.

“Sic deinde quiscumque alius transiliet moenia mea”

To bad we don’t have a man in the White House to deliver it.

I’m having a hard time understanding why any soldier of any foreign country setting foot inside the USA uninvited is not an egregious act of war...

Because there's a whole rickety house of cards built up around a criminal conspiracy to maintain cheap labor to keep the economy lumbering along.

Cut out the slave labor and a lot of companies that have set themselves up to exploit this criminal behavior will fold and there goes their contribution to the tax base as well as kickbacks and payoffs to state politicians, the congress and higher level politicians.

We're a nation betrayed by an organized crime syndicate at all levels. The FedGov won't respond for fear of losing access to the underpaid peons that's keeping us afloat.

Why are Mexican military personnel coming into the US, anyway?

The Mexican nation believes the U.S. is the Northern Frontier. Not an occupied nation of laws.

In a letter Saturday to Mr. Bush, Mr. Tuffly asked the president to "take a strong stand against" Mexican military incursions. He said Mexican soldiers have made hundreds of incursions into the United States and that some of them resulted in agents coming under gunfire and being detained at gunpoint.

Why doesn't Russia go ahead and invade us. By the time a "letter" is sent and responded to by DC, we'd all be speaking Russian.

Forget Star Trek, it’s drek from HollyWeird.

What we need is a Roman response: Mexico Delenda Est.

IMHO, it is time for the Monroe Doctrine to be enforced again.

“ALL we need is a Romulan response.”

I meant Romulan as in Romulus, not in Star-Trek.

My apologies. A friend runs a Star Trek conference and that’s where I was exposed to Trekkies.
