Secret Service Denies Romney Security Sweep
Roll Call ^ | August 28, 2008, 4:07 p.m. | By David M. Drucker

Posted on 08/28/2008 4:31:51 PM PDT by Perdogg

The Secret Service is denying that it conducted a security sweep of the Michigan home belonging to the sister of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R).

Roll Call earlier reported that the sweep took place, suggesting that it might be an indication that Romney was in line to be selected as Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) vice presidential running mate.

I Haven’t decided yet. If McCain picks that charlatan as the VP, then we’ve all got a lot bigger problems than anything I can change.

If he selects Pawlenty (or Romney) he is wasting a big opportunity to garner the female vote which has been a thorn in the side of the GOP for years.

I don't think pandering works for Republicans. Putting Clarence Thomas on the bench or Condi Rice in the cabinet did not get us the black vote. Putting a woman on the ticket will not get us the female vote. I don't have a problem with Palin, other than her lack of name recognition, but I don't think we need to start resorting to identity politics.

So, Romney is worse than an Obama Presidency?

But not nearly as big as if Obama gets into the White House.

Romney would very likely cause a nObama presidency. He brings absolutely nothing to the ticket and in fact detracts a great deal from it.

And what if Romney is the Veep. Are you going to continue this crap throughout the rest of the election?

After this week with dems putting forward some of the most liberal elements of their party any of these Republicans as VP look reasonable and tolerable in contrast. Romney is fine by me.

What is a security sweep? Do they check the Veeps relatives for Meth labs and caches of weapons?

BREAKING NEWS: Romney Believes He’s Out
By James Poulos
A well-placed source has confirmed that Mitt Romney no longer understands himself to be in consideration for the Republican nomination for Vice President. When asked where he’ll be tomorrow, Romney revealed that he planned to be in Massachusetts. When pressed for a clarification — as to whether that remark constituted an artful prevarication — Romney declared that it did not. Further, one of Romney’s senior advisors has verified that if he put it thus, it’s true.

Bull

With all else having been said, that pretty much defines the nature of Romney's campaign all year. It's all been bovine excrement. He's a liberal poser.
