McCain's veep pick is praised, panned [(D)Wexler rips Palin and McCain]
Sun Sentinel ^ | August 29, 2008 | Anthony Man

Posted on 08/29/2008 12:10:19 PM PDT by Fox_Mulder77

......Here's the statement from Wexler, who represents 10 central and northern Broward communities:

"Today, John McCain proved he is a complete and utter hypocrite. This past week we saw the first test of judgment and leadership from America's presidential nominees. Barack Obama made the outstanding choice of Joe Biden. John McCain made a sad political choice by picking Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin. "In doing so John McCain has failed both the test of leadership and judgment. John McCain has been unable to generate any genuine excitement with his tired campaign and his selection of Palin as his running mate is a desperate attempt to distract Americans from the fact he lacks any new ideas worthy of their excitement.

"John McCain's selection of Sarah Palin is clearly a political ploy aimed at the capturing votes of women who formerly supported Senator Hillary Clinton. But the fact is Sarah Palin is a far right, pro-life zealot who can not hold a candle to Hillary Clinton's lifelong fight to better the lives of women everywhere. Americans should be alarmed that the former mayor of a town of 9,000 people with zero foreign policy credentials could be a heartbeat away from assuming the role of Commander in Chief."

I think the Dems are stepping in a big steaming pile of #2 with their attacks on Palin today. Palin is primarily being attacked because she’s a woman, accusing McCain of pandering and giving Palin no credit whatsoever as a very popular governor.

Dumb, dumb, dumb Dems.

“...former mayor of a town of 9,000 people with zero foreign policy credentials could be a heartbeat away from assuming the role of Commander in Chief.”

I don’t understand how this argument can be made without inviting the obvious retort. BHO is a former “community organizer” with zero foreign policy credentials who, if elected, would be sworn in as Commander-in-Chief.

Democrats are so screwed. They haven’t a clue how to deal with this and as a result are resorting to pathetic and nonsensical diatribe.

I’d ask this brainless Wexler how he comes to think that the selection of Palin as cynically calculated to win Clinton supporters when, as he says, she shares almost none of Clinton’s policy positions?

Come on Mr. Wexler! You can’t be that stupid! Or can you?

John McCain made a sad political choice by picking Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin

TRANSLATION:

"Oi vey. The Republicans have nominated a dynamic, young, good-looking female who will likely be the next Vice-President of the United States. And she's a REPULICAN! AND A CONSERVATIVE! THIS IS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. Obama, you Idiot! You should have picked Clinton as your VP! Now, we're screwed....BIG TIME".

And yet McCain is running neck and neck with Obama. Go figure.

Hey, that peanut farmer from Plains Georgia- he didn’t have any foriegn policy experience, just one term as a governor- is Wexler saying the dems blew it with him? And say again, what are Obama’s foreign policy credentials? Two wake ups in Iraq?

It seems every screaming liberal moon-bat jack-ass politician in the country is coming completely UNGLUED over J. Sidney’s VP pick.

So he MUST have made the right choice, eh?

I know I’m more comfortable voting for him with a true conservative like Ms. Palin on the ticket.

Gee, Wexler, McCain is running a “tired campaign” and he’s ahead of Obamasama in the polls! Wait till his campaign “wakes up”.

Well we booted his choice for elections commissioner out. Wexler himself is a complete and utter hypocrite. Sorry he’s my congressman - but then again I don’t live in Century Village.
